Jake Elm, CFP®

Senior Financial Advisor

Hi, I’m Jake Elm, CFP®, a Financial Advisor at Dentist Advisors. I help dentists make thoughtful financial decisions around budgeting, debt and student loans, saving, investing, and long-term retirement planning. My goal is to help dentists plan responsibly for the future while still enjoying life today.

I found my way into financial planning in college simply because I wanted to understand how money works and how to build and maintain wealth. Since personal finance isn’t something most of us are taught early on, discovering that I could learn it deeply and help others do the same felt like a natural fit. While I enjoy the problem-solving side of building a financial plan, what keeps me passionate about this work is seeing how money touches every part of life and helping people use it intentionally to live their best life.

To me, client success means less stress, fewer unknowns, and more time and energy to focus on what matters most. Making as much money as possible isn’t the goal. Money is simply a tool, and I love when clients tell me they feel confident about their financial future and clear on how to reach their goals.
I’ve been a financial advisor for over seven years at Dentist Advisors. I earned my degree in Personal Financial Planning from Utah Valley University and hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, movies, sports, good food, traveling with my family, and golfing whenever I can. I’m also a loyal Utah Jazz and Utah Utes football fan, for better or worse.
